Grindhouse Pizzeria - ”Astro Zombies”

On Episode 19 of our show "Grindhouse Pizzeria" which is dedicated to all things encompassing various Grindhouse, Drive-In, and Exploitation genres, we will be reviewing and dissecting the legendary and classick "ASTRO ZOMBIES" from 1968. Which is directed by the equally legendary Ted V. Mikels (Doll Squad, Ten Violent Women, Corpse Grinders).  This is the first chapter in a Quadrilogy of films about cloning, aliens, murderers on the loose, and carnage galore.  This movie is classic Drive-In fare that stars Tura Satana and John Carradine. Our discussion is headed off by our regular hosts Tom Komisar and Cameron Scott! Creature Feature Dinner Theater - ”Critters”

Welcome to the 7th episode of our show called 'Creature Feature Dinner Theater' which will be hosted by the married team of Patty and Cameron Scott. Cameron and Patty met 12 years ago at the Cinema Wasteland Movie & Memorabilia Expo, so not only was it love at first sight but both parties knew the others love for the horror genre was genuine. Which brings us to our show today. The Creature Feature Dinner Theater will not only feature nasty monsters, sharks, wild animals, aliens, creatures, goblins and ghouls...but we will also be concocting a special drink to go with the movie for the evening. For our 7th feature we are bringing you the comedic sci-fi classic from 1985 "CRITTERS" starring Scott Grimes and Dee Wallace. Critters is the story of a group of killer furry creatures from another world that eat their way through a small mid-western town followed by shape shifting intergalactic bounty hunters.  This is a review of the first chapter of the ongoing franchise that incl;udes 4 original movies, a mini web series and a reboot!  Also, don't forget to join us in the after party for our "Furry Spiked Crites" mixed drink review as the finisher. Sinfully Short Sundays - ”Black Water”

We here at Cinema Degeneration are bringing you folks out there an altogether new themed show with 'Sinfully Short Sundays'. On this show we will be taking a different approach from our other shows that are normally deep dive discussions on films with a shorter approach normally 15 minutes or so. These reviews will have a singular host taking a short dive into multitudes of film genres where nothing is off limits. One of our many hosts will take on a lesser known film from their must watch list and give you their unique take on these oddities. For the 4th episode our host Cameron Scott will be taking on the 2018 action adventure "BLACK WATER" which stars action film veterans Jean Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren!  This espionage thriller meets high octane action fest ia about a deep-cover operative that awakens to find himself imprisoned in a CIA black site on a submarine. It must be seen to be believed. Join us in this new cinematic podcasting adventure!

Sequel Too, Deja Vu - ”Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2”

On this show, our specialty is sequels, sequels, and more sequels. From the good ones, to the bad ones, to the really ugly ones, we'll be covering them all! We've got homicidal maniacs that won't stay in the grave, sci-fi epics whose stories cannot be told in a single tale, and much much more. For our 16th episode, we are covering a legendary sequel and heading back to Texas for some good old fashioned BBQ with the infamous Tobe Hooper directed "TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 2" from 1986! A follow up 13 years in the making! Starring Bill Moseley as Cop Top, Caroline WIlliams as Stretch and Dennis Hopper as Lefty; with the sole returning original cast member the late Jim Siedow as the Cook.  Join our hosts and Grindhouse Pizzeria regulars, Cameron Scott and Tom Komisar, on a trip back to a land filled with chainsaws, cannibalism, and family.

Howling At The Full Moon - ”Shrunken Heads”

On our show, "Howling At The Full Moon" for our 23rd episode we're going for a real classic Paramount era flick with the 1994 sci-fi/horror gem "SHRUNKEN HEADS" directed by the incomparable Richard Elfman (director of Forbidden Zone and founding member of Oingo Boingo). Shrunken Heads is a tale of a trio of NYC kids who are killed by thugs and later brought back to life as reanimated shrunken heads to exact their revenge. It's part musical, part horror, a dash of science fiction with a sprinkling of crime thriller brought to us in the wacky way as only Elfman can.  Join regular hosts Cameron Scott and Dustin Hubbard as they take a deep dive review on this Full Moon classick.

Our third entry into this series takes on "3 Tunnels 2 Hell" or "Serentity Farm".  The synopsis: A remote island is visited by a group of campers on horseback. The camp's tranquility is broken by violence and fear once they discover an old bunker and tunnel complex and the diseased humans that occupy them.

Rutger Hauer Appreciation Month - ”Blind Fury”

We here at Cinema Degeneration have declared May 2022 "Rutger Hauer Appreciation Month!" Twice a week we'll be releasing a show diving into a different film from Mr. Hauer's catalog of 175 film and television roles all throughout the month of May. The late Rutger Hauer, who unfortunately passed away in 2019, was a consummate professional thespian, writer, director, and devoted environmentalist, amongst many many other things. He graced the silver screen in many amazing shockers and brilliant films, normally playing heavies and villains and was known for his intense yet subtle performances. His amazing talent truly knew no bounds. For our 10th and final episode celebrating Hauer we bring you a comedic actioner rarity from 1989 "BLIND FURY" from director Phillip Noyce and co-starring Meg Foster, Terry O'Quinn, Randall 'Tex' Cobb and Sho Kosugi. It's the story of Nick Parker, a man blinded in war and trained in expert swordplay, and his comedic escapades trying to protect the son of his best friend from ruthless drug dealers. The late Rutger Hauer, who unfortunately passed away in 2019, was a consummate professional thespian, writer, director, and devoted environmentalist, amongst many many other things. He graced the silver screen in many amazing shockers and brilliant films, normally playing heavies and villains and was known for his intense yet subtle performances. His amazing talent truly knew no bounds. For our 9th episode we bring you a slice of cheese straight to video goodness from 1996 with the futuristic cyborg thriller "OMEGA DOOM" from director Albert Pyun. The late Rutger Hauer, who unfortunately passed away in 2019, was a consummate professional thespian, writer, director, and devoted environmentalist, amongst many many other things. He graced the silver screen in many amazing shockers and brilliant films, normally playing heavies and villains and was known for his intense yet subtle performances. His amazing talent truly knew no bounds. For our 8th episode we bring you Hauer's first leading role in Hollywood with the 1983 thriller "THE OSTERMAN WEEKEND" from legendary director Sam Peckinpah. This spy espionage adventure is star studded with such actors as Chris Sarandon, Dennis Hopper, Craig T. Nelson, Meg Foster, Burt Lancaster and John Hurt.  Based off the Robert Ludlum novel the film was plagued with production troubles, including an ailing Peckinpah directing from his death bed (this would be his final film) this action drama is so convoluted that it's amazing that it was ever finished in the first place.  Join our hosts Cameron Scott and his compadres from the 'Last Call At Torchy's' podcast Gary Hill and Lee Russell as three of them talk about one of the most confusing Rutger Hauer films available.
