Rutger Hauer Appreciation Month - ”Hobo With A Shotgun”
Monday May 16, 2022
Monday May 16, 2022
We here at Cinema Degeneration have declared May 2022 "Rutger Hauer Appreciation Month!" Twice a week we'll be releasing a show diving into a different film from Mr. Hauer's catalog of 175 film and television roles all throughout the month of May. The late Rutger Hauer, who unfortunately passed away in 2019, was a consummate professional thespian, writer, director, and devoted environmentalist, amongst many many other things. He graced the silver screen in many amazing shockers and brilliant films, normally playing heavies and villains and was known for his intense yet subtle performances. His amazing talent truly knew no bounds. For our 4th episode we bring you a review and deep dive discussion on the crazy Hauer exploitation extravaganza with the 2011 "HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN" from genre director Jason Eisener. Starting out life as a fake trailer that won the Grindhouse trailer competition, Hobo With A Shotgun bloomed into the crazy feature film it is today. Hauer portrays the titular Hobo character that rolls into an urban setting of chaos and goes about bringing justice to the unfortunate citizens with his trusty pump action shotgun one shell at a time. Join our hosts Cameron Scott (Cinema Degeneration CEO) and his usual Grindhouse Pizzeria co-host Tom Komisar and special effects artist Deryk Wehrley as the three of them talk about one of their favorite Rutger Hauer films.

Friday Mar 25, 2022
Welcome to the 6th episode of our show called 'Creature Feature Dinner Theater' which will be hosted by the married team of Patty and Cameron Scott. Cameron and Patty met 12 years ago at the Cinema Wasteland Movie & Memorabilia Expo, so not only was it love at first sight but both parties knew the others love for the horror genre was genuine. Which brings us to our show today. The Creature Feature Dinner Theater will not only feature nasty monsters, sharks, wild animals, aliens, creatures, goblins and ghouls...but we will also be concocting a special drink and/or meal to go with the movie for the evening. For our 6th feature we are bringing you the 2008 action yarn "SHARK IN VENICE" starring Stephen Baldwin. With a combination like that you just know you're in for a wild time! In this killer shark movie that's only disguised as an action adventure tale, Baldwin plays an Indiana Jones clone but can't tell which movie he's really in. Also, don't forget to join us in the after party for our "Shark In Venice" mixed drink review as the finisher. Leave the kids at home and enjoy responsibly!

Without Warning - ”Books VS Films”
Friday Mar 18, 2022
Friday Mar 18, 2022
Welcome to an altogether new show here at Cinema Degneration we are calling "Without Warning." The theme for this show is unlike any other in our lineup. Hosted by Cinema Degeneration CEO Cameron Scott and author and host of 'The Diabolical Index' Korey Dawson. The theme is simple: Scott calls Dawson out of the blue with no warning as to what the topic of conversation will be...without warning if you will. Scott will continuously test the overall skill and level of pop culture and movie expertise of Mr. Dawson with totally random topics including movies, literature, pop culture, music, art, comics and more. Dawson has absolutely no prior knowledge to these show topics and is going into the discussions totally blind. These shows are a hoot to record, and we hope as much fun for the audience to listen back to. The second episode show topic is on "BOOKS VS FILMS". Essentially you are all in for a deep dive discussion on various authors and books and the movies that were based on them. Topics range from Dracula, to Stephen King, Frankenstein, Poppy Z. Brite, Clive Barker, Robert R, McCammon and many more. It's a literary adventure of cinematic proportions! Join us!
