An all new Appreciation Month is upon us here at Cinema Degeneration and this time we are delving into the twisted works and mind of the one and only Canadian filmmaker David Cronenberg whose career started  in the late 1960's! It's a month long celebration of all things body horror, strange killers, telekinesis, rampant diseases, sexual perversions, more body horror, technological mutations, oh and did we mention body horror??? Our 1st episode is on a very intense thriller and more recent directorial effort with the shocking 2022 release "CRIMES OF THE FUTURE".  Starring Viggo Mortensen, Lea Seydoux, and Kristen Stewart.  It's an odd tale of an alternative future where the human body has learned to adapt to an overly synthetic environment with new organ transformations and mutations.  Thus, turning these new mutations into avant-garde performance pieces to a public where 'surgery is the new sex.'  Not for the squeamish or faint of heart, we assure you. If that doesn't sound intriguing to you, then you've got to check your pulse because you may already be dead. Our deep dive discussion and dissection on this film is headed off by Patty and Cameron Scott, the married duo with a deep love of the mad and the macabre. Buckle in because it's going to be a wild ride!

On this show, our specialty is sequels, sequels, and more sequels.  From the good ones, to the bad ones, to the really ugly ones, we'll be covering them all!  We've got homicidal maniacs that won't stay in the grave, sci-fi epics whose stories cannot be told in a single tale, and much much more.  For our 29th episode, we'll be taking on the wacky and wild 3rd chapter in the Basket Case series with "BASKET CASE 3: THE PROOGENY" from 1992. This film is once again written and directed by genre great Frank Henenlotteer (Basket Case 1-3, Brain Damage, Frankenhooker) and stars Kevin VanHentenryck as Duane Bradley once more, and co-stars Annie Ross as Granny Ruth. This sequel finds our Bradley twins, Duane and the monstrous Belial, picking up right where part two left off with the two of them not on the greatest of terms. This time however, Belial is about to be a daddy! And they're going to need a bigger basket. Get ready to join our hosts Cameron Scott and Dustin Hubbard (Howling At The Full Moon) as they dissect and take a deep dive into a world filled with Bradley twin shenanigans, a Casey (Beverly Bonner cameo), freakishly fantastic kills, Jolt Cola product placement, sing-a-longs, makeshift Transformer mech suits, and more! On Episode 32 of our show "Grindhouse Pizzeria" which is dedicated to all things encompassing various Grindhouse, Drive-In, and Exploitation genres; we will be reviewing and dissecting a true classick of the Roger Corman era with 1975's "DEATH RACE 2000". Directed by Paul Bartel (Eating Raoul and Cannonball!) and starring an array of icons including David Carradine, Sylvester Stallone, Mary Woronov, Don Steele,  and many more. This is a legendary cult film, which spawned a much belated sequel in 2017 titled Death Race 2050 and a remake starring Jason Statham in 2008 (which had its own series of straight to video sequels). It's a truly ridiculous satire tale of a dystopian future where a the new national sport is a cross country road race where the drivers collect points by running down pedestrians. Sound wacky? It has to be seen to be believed!  Our discussion is headed off by our regular hosts Tom Komisar and Cameron Scott! This is the futuristic tale of space babes that crash land on a distant planet who are subsequently hunted for sport in a comedic take on The Most Dangerous Game. There will be solo reviews and group chats with multiple different guest hosts and interviews.  Sometimes there will be themed segments such as "How The F$%k Did That Get Made", "The Good, The Bad, The Independent", "Why Is That Not Eric Roberts?" and iterations of past shows like Old Not Obsolete and This Is Your Brain On Film.  For our 7th episode we are bringing you something we haven't done in quite some time, a feature length commentary track from our three hosts Patty Scott, Cameron Scott, and Korey Dawson. We will be dissecting the 1990 schlocky cult classic "DEMON WIND" from director Charles Philip Moore (Blackbelt, Angel Of Destruction, Dance With Death).  Our hosts will take you on a trip through this comedic supernatural thriller that is a wild story about a group of friends that visit a remote run down cabin in the middle of nowhere who then end up being caught up in black magic and demonic shenanigans. Filled with crazy characters, wild scenarios, and out of this world special effects where hilarity ensues.  This movie has to be seen to be believed.  Join us in celebration of this insane and definitely weird movie!

On our show, "Howling At The Full Moon" which celebrates anything related to Charles Band's Empire of Full Moon Pictures, we're going back to the well with the franchise with our 40th episode and the titular crazy clown himself in "KILLJOY 2: DELIVERANCE FROM EVIL" from 2002.  Directed by Tammi Sutton and starring Trent Haaga and Scream Queen Debbie Rochon. This is the second chapter in the long running franchise about a group of juvenile delinquents and their chaperones who run afoul of Killjoy, the king of the pranksters and a killer clown of vengeance. It's a mad story of Kakihara (a sadomasochistic yakuza soldier) on the hunt for his missing boss that encounters Ichi (a psychotic killer of killers) that may hold the answers to all his sadistic questions. It's thrills and chills of the likes only Miike (with over 120 directing credits and counting) can orchestrate!  This movie has to be seen to be believed.  Join us in celebration of this insane and definitely weird movie!

On our show, "Howling At The Full Moon" which celebrates anything related to Charles Band's Empire of Full Moon Pictures, we're going with something a little on the lesser traveled side of things with our 39th episode and our first film under the Surrender Cinema label "FEMALIEN 2" from 1998.  Directed once again by Cybil Richards and starring Venesa Talor as Kara, Bethany Lorraine, and Josh Edwards.  Femalien 2 is the second chapter in the long running franchise about a race of aliens that exist only as beams of light that send one of their own to Earth to experience as many physical sensations as possible.  This time around a group os aliens are sent to Earth to recover their missing companion Kara from the first film.
