Howling At The Full Moon - "Murderbot"
Wednesday Jan 24, 2024
Wednesday Jan 24, 2024
On our show, "Howling At The Full Moon", we're going with something a little more recent with our 32nd episode and deep diving into one of the shortest feature films ever with the 2023 effort "MURDERBOT" aka "KILLBOTS". Directed by Jim Wynorski and starring Melissa Brasselle, August Kyss, Rib Hillis, Lisa London, and Becky LeBeau. This movie is a sort of all over the place mess that mixes desert town shenanigans with some college kids and elements of The Terminator (whose comparisons is merely skin deep). This shorty feature (clocking in at only 46 minutes) is about what happens when a sentient robot goes on a killing spree. Discussion headed off by our regular hosts Cameron Scott and Full Moon enthusiast Dustin Hubbard as they take a deep dive into a dissection of this sci-fi romp.

Grindhouse Pizzeria - "Hell Night"
Saturday Jan 20, 2024
Saturday Jan 20, 2024
On Episode 26 of our show "Grindhouse Pizzeria" which is dedicated to all things encompassing various Grindhouse, Drive-In, and Exploitation genres; we will be taking on and dissecting one of the all time classic early 80's slasher fare with "HELL NIGHT" from 1981. Directed by Tom DeSimone (Savage Streets, Freddy's Nightmares, Hellhole) and starring Linda Blair, Vincent Van Patten, Peter Barton, Kevin Brophy and Suki Goodwin. This is not just another slasher movie that came out in droves in the early 80's but rather an underappreciated gem. It's a tale about what goes on in Old Garth Manor when four college pledges must spend the night in the dusty old place...along with some sadistic killers left roaming the grounds. In the end you will pray for day. Our discussion is headed off by our regular hosts Tom Komisar and Cameron Scott! Join the two of them for a grueling good time in Garth Manor with some unexpected guests! Come on in at the Grindhouse Pizzeria, pull up a chair, and grab yourself a slice!
"You know if you guys spent half the time studying instead of setting up these stunts, we'd all be graduating with honors."

Sequel Too, Deja Vu - ”Deadlock 2”
Monday Jan 08, 2024
Monday Jan 08, 2024
On this show, our specialty is sequels, sequels, and more sequels. From the good ones, to the bad ones, to the really ugly ones, we'll be covering them all! We've got homicidal maniacs that won't stay in the grave, sci-fi epics whose stories cannot be told in a single tale, and much much more. For our 25th episode, we are talking about one of the strangest sequels/remakes/requels in history with "DEADLOCK 2" from 1995, (AKA Wedlock 2, AKA Deadlocked: Escape From Zone 14). This sequel to the original Wedlock from 1991 starring Rutger Hauer (that we already reviewed for Rutger Hauer Appreciation Month) is cleverly disguised as a sequel...but it's a reamke, or is it a requel? We'll leave it up to you to decide how the hell this got made in the first place. This straight to cable mischief stars Esai Morales, Nia Peeples, and Stephen McHattie. In short, it's about a thief framed for a crime he did not commit and is then sent to a futuristic prison with a bomb strapped around his neck. Sound crazy...because it is. Join our hosts Cameron Scott and Marcus Koch as they dissect and take a deep dive into a future that only belongs to those who can survive it.
"Well, it's a six digit code. That means there's about ten million possible combinations."

Wasteland Appreciation Month - ”Rats: Night Of Terror”
Sunday Dec 31, 2023
Sunday Dec 31, 2023
We've fallen behind on editing these Wasteland episodes so we're extending the Appreciation Month topic into December as well. So, we hope you don't mind a few more trips heading out into the Dystopian fueled nightmares of the Apocalypse. It's a month long celebration of all things Post-Apocalyptic so you can expect marauders, scavengers, mutants and mayhem, cool car chases, fights over water and fuel, and battles of epic proportions. Coming up next in the dystopian and action mayhem in our 7th and final episode is a rather obscure Italian flick with 1984's "RATS: NIGHT OF TERROR" from directors Bruno Mattei (aka Vincent Dawn) and an uncredited Claudio Fragasso, who were both also co-writers on this cheesefest. This romp tells of a nuclear bomb ravaged future where most people in the world live underground, but one group of scavengers go to the surface and find a secret abandoned lab plagued with secrets and KILLER RATS! The main cast portrayed by Ottaviano Dell'Acqua, Geretta Geretta, Massimo Vanni, Gianni Franco and many more Italian film stars of that era all under various aliases. This movie has an ending that is both shocking and hard to believe. Our deep dive discussion on this grueling flick is headed off by the duo of Cameron Scott with friend and frequent cohost of the Howling At The full Moon Podcast, Dustin Hubbard. Join them and buckle in because it's going to be a wild ride!

Wasteland Appreciation Month - ”Blood Of Heroes”
Saturday Dec 23, 2023
Saturday Dec 23, 2023
We've fallen behind on editing these Wasteland episodes so we're extending the Appreciation Month topic into the first couple weeks of December as well. Coming up next in the dystopian and action mayhem in our 6th episode is a rather obscure sports themed flick with 1989's "THE BLOOD OF HEROES" from writer/director David Webb Peoples (writer of Blade Runner, Leviathan, Ladyhawke, and the Oscar winning Unforgiven). This feature tells of a future where the majority of technology and people have been wiped out and the remaining inhabitants and their sole entertainment is a sport called Jugging...a violent game played with the skull of a dog. The main lead played by the late Rutger Hauer, with the supporting cast portrayed by Joan Chen, Vincent D'Onofrio, Delroy Lindo, and Hugh Keays-Byrne. We foloow our core group as they travel the wastelands from game to game, leading to one of the only few cities where they long to play in the official league. Our deep dive discussion on this grueling flick is headed off by the duo of Cameron Scott with friend and frequent collaborator Gary Hill (Cinema Beef / The Last Call At Torchy's Podcast). Join them and buckle in because it's going to be a wild ride!

Wasteland Appreciation Month - ”Bronx Warriors Double Feature”

Wednesday Dec 13, 2023
We've fallen behind on editing these Wasteland episodes so we're extending the Appreciation Month topic into the first couple weeks of December as well. Coming up next in the dystopian and action mayhem in our 5th episode is an Italian double feature of 1982's "1990; THE BRONX WARRIORS" and it's 1983 sequel "ESCAPE FROM THE BRONX" from legendary director Enzo G. Castellari (Warriors of the Wasteland, Inglorious Bastards, The Last Shark, Keoma , The Heroin Busters and dozens more!) These films tell of the desolate future of 1990 where the Bronx has become an all out warzone ruled only by the street gangs that still inhabit the crumbling city. At the center of this mayhem is the unofficial leader of the gangs Trash (portrayed by the late Mark Gregory from the Thunder trilogy and Delta Force Commando). In supporting roles we have Fred 'The Hammer' Williamson, Vic Morrow, Henry Silva, George Eastman and many others. These two movies have to be seen to be believed. Our deep dive discussion on these Italian actioners is headed off by the duo of Cameron Scott (Post Mortem America 2021) with friend and frequent collaborator Scott Tepperman (The Cruel Summer Trilogy). Join them and buckle in because it's going to be a wild ride!
"Allow me to correct you, Mr. Clark - I'm worse than anyone."

We've fallen behind on editing these Wasteland episodes so we're extending the Appreciation Month topic into the first couple weeks of December as well. Coming up next in the sci-fi and action mayhem in our 4th episode is the 1993 shocker "ACCION MUTANTE" (aka Mutant Action) from acclaimed director Alex de la Iglesia. This film tells of a future where the rich and beautiful rule the world and gang of mutant terrorists begin to fight back. There's murder, back stabbings, torture, mutant mayhem, mutant love, gore aplenty, crazy action and wild characters. It has to be seen to be believed. Our deep dive discussion on this Spanish gorefest is headed off by the duo of Cameron Scott (The Embalmers) with long time listener and friend of the show BUT first time guest Kay Crawford (Drain Snake Massacre). Wasteland Appreciation Month - ”Warriors Of The Year 2072”
Monday Nov 20, 2023
Monday Nov 20, 2023
An all new Appreciation Month is upon us here at Cinema Degeneration and this time we are heading out into the Dystopian fueled nightmares of the Apocalypse with 'Wasteland Appreciation Month.' It's a month long celebration of all things Post-Apocalyptic so you can expect marauders, scavengers, mutants and mayhem, cool car chases, fights over water and fuel, and battles of epic proportions. Our 3rd episode is on an eccentric action tale with 1983's "WARRIORS OF THE YEAR 2072" from Italian maestro director Lucio Fulci. Known also as The New Gladiators, Rome 2033 - The Fighter Centurions, Rome, 2072 A.D. and many other titles. Starring Jared Martin, Fred 'The Hammer' Williamson, Al Cliver and Eleonora Brigliadori. It's an odd tale of the post-apocalyptic world of 2072 (or 2033 depending on which version you're watching) where our characters fight in new age televised Gladiator style duels to the death for ratings. Sound familiar...maybe a little bit like The Running Man perhaps? Well, don't let that fool you because this film predates the Arnold Schawarzenegger classic by a couple of years. Our deep dive discussion on this Italian gorefest is headed off by the Grindhouse Pizzeria duo of Tom Komisar (of the band Slasherboy) and Cameron Scott (Cruel Summer 1 & 2). Buckle in because it's going to be a wild ride!
"Take a good look at these contestants, because for these men violent death is just seconds away."

Wasteland Appreciation Month - ”Mindwarp”
Monday Nov 13, 2023
Monday Nov 13, 2023
An all new Appreciation Month is upon us here at Cinema Degeneration and this time we are heading out into the Dystopian fueled nightmares of the Apocalypse with 'Wasteland Appreciation Month.' It's a month long celebration of all things Post-Apocalyptic so you can expect marauders, scavengers, mutants and mayhem, cool car chases, fights over water and fuel, and battles of epic proportions. Our 2nd episode is on a very obscure science fiction yarn with 1991's"MINDWARP" from director Steve Barnett. Starring genre heavyweights Bruce Campbell and Angus Scrimm and featuring impressive special effects by KNB Efx. It's an odd tale of the post-apocalyptic world of 2037 where our main character Judy rebels against an AI ruled utopia and is exiled to the wasteland for her efforts and is forced to battle with drifters, mutated cannibals and an evil overlord named The Seer. Do you dare to travel into a world where Ash from the Evil Dead and The Tall Man from Phantasm face off in a swordfight??? If that doesn't sound intriguing to you, then you've got to check your pulse because you may already be dead. Our deep dive discussion on this Fangoria produced film from the 90's is headed off by the Three Stooges of Cinema Degeneration... Eric Phillips (Sequel Too, Deja Vu), Korey Dawson (Without Warning) and Cameron Scott. You can expect digressions and rants on everything from the Evil Dead franchise, the late great and incomparable Danny Hicks, and the Lawnmower Man franchise to name but a few. Buckle in because it's going to be a wild ride!
"Stupidity, chaos, cruelty, pain. Reality, a failure worse than any nightmare. There was no fixing it."

Wasteland Appreciation Month - ”Hell Comes To Frogtown”
Monday Nov 06, 2023
Monday Nov 06, 2023
An all new Appreciation Month is upon us here at Cinema Degeneration and this time we are heading out into the Dystopian fueled nightmares of the Apocalypse with 'Wasteland Appreciation Month.' It's a month long celebration of all things Post-Apocalyptic so you can expect marauders, scavengers, mutants and mayhem, cool car chases, fights over water and fuel, and battles of epic proportions. Our first episode is on an all time B-Movie classic starring the late great Rowdy Roddy Piper with 1988's "HELL COMES TO FROGTOWN" from director Donald G. Jackson. Also starring Sandahl Bergman, William Smith, Rory Calhoun, Nicolas Worth and many more! It's a cautionary tale of what happens when 68% of the male population on earth is wiped out and virile men are a rarity. Piper portrays the character of Sam Hell, one of the last virile men on the planet who is tasked with the mission of rescuing a group of fertile women from a gang of humanoid frogs! If that sounds crazy to you, then you've got to see it to believe it. Our deep dive discussion is headed off by the Three Stooges of Cinema Degeneration... Eric Phillips (Sequel Too, Deja Vu), Korey Dawson (Without Warning) and Cameron Scott. You can expect digressions and rants on everything from legendary actor Royal Dano, John Cena and his eventual evolution into Ernest P. Worrell, multiple ideas for Frogtown reboots and recastings and sequels, and even the Brendan Frasier Mummy franchise. Buckle in because it's going to be a wild ride!
