Wasteland Appreciation Month - ”Mindwarp”

An all new Appreciation Month is upon us here at Cinema Degeneration and this time we are heading out into the Dystopian fueled nightmares of the Apocalypse with 'Wasteland Appreciation Month.' It's a month long celebration of all things Post-Apocalyptic so you can expect marauders, scavengers, mutants and mayhem, cool car chases, fights over water and fuel, and battles of epic proportions. Our 2nd episode is on a very obscure science fiction yarn with 1991's"MINDWARP" from director Steve Barnett. Starring genre heavyweights Bruce Campbell and Angus Scrimm and featuring impressive special effects by KNB Efx. It's an odd tale of the post-apocalyptic world of 2037 where our main character Judy rebels against an AI ruled utopia and is exiled to the wasteland for her efforts and is forced to battle with drifters, mutated cannibals and an evil overlord named The Seer. Do you dare to travel into a world where Ash from the Evil Dead and The Tall Man from Phantasm face off in a swordfight??? If that doesn't sound intriguing to you, then you've got to check your pulse because you may already be dead. Our deep dive discussion on this Fangoria produced film from the 90's is headed off by the Three Stooges of Cinema Degeneration... Eric Phillips (Sequel Too, Deja Vu), Korey Dawson (Without Warning) and Cameron Scott. You can expect digressions and rants on everything from the Evil Dead franchise, the late great and incomparable Danny Hicks, and the Lawnmower Man franchise to name but a few. Our first episode is on an all time B-Movie classic starring the late great Rowdy Roddy Piper with 1988's "HELL COMES TO FROGTOWN" from director Donald G. Jackson. Also starring Sandahl Bergman, William Smith, Rory Calhoun, Nicolas Worth and many more! It's a cautionary tale of what happens when 68% of the male population on earth is wiped out and virile men are a rarity. Piper portrays the character of Sam Hell, one of the last virile men on the planet who is tasked with the mission of rescuing a group of fertile women from a gang of humanoid frogs! If that sounds crazy to you, then you've got to see it to believe it. Our deep dive discussion is headed off by the Three Stooges of Cinema Degeneration... Eric Phillips (Sequel Too, Deja Vu), Korey Dawson (Without Warning) and Cameron Scott. Howling At The Full Moon - ”Puppet Master 2”

On our show, "Howling At The Full Moon", we're heading back to the early days of the Paramount era with our 31st episode and deep diving into the world of Andre Toulon's wiry puppets in 1990's "PUPPET MASTER 2". Directed by David Allen and starring the incomparable Charlie Spradling and Elizabeth Maclellan, Collin Bernsen, Steve Welles and George 'Buck' Flowers!  This movie is a return to the Bodega Bay hotel which has now been condemned following the events and murders of the original Pupper Master. What shenanigans are Toulon and the Puppets up to this time around? Discussion by our regular hosts Cameron Scott and Full Moon enthusiast Dustin Hubbard as they take a deep dive into a dissection of this wild ride that has Toulon's Puppet army killing for 'brain juice' to help their evil master and his diabolical plans!

Grindhouse Pizzeria - ”Don’t Look In The Basement”

On Episode 25 of our show "Grindhouse Pizzeria" which is dedicated to all things encompassing various Grindhouse, Drive-In, and Exploitation genres; we will be taking on and dissecting one of the all time classic drive-in fare with "DON'T LOOK IN THE BASEMENT" from 1974. Directed by S.F. Brownrigg (Scum Of The Earth) in his directorial feature film debut and starring Bill McGhee as Sam, Annabelle Weenick as Masters, Harriette Warren as Jennifer. This is a...cautionary tale of what happens to a pscyhe nurse when she goes to work at a quite remote insane asylum where the patients run the show. This film is known for its depravity and torture that was once on the infamous Video Nasty list!  Our discussion is headed off by our regular hosts Tom Komisar and Cameron Scott! Without Warning - ”Animal Villains”

Welcome to an altogether new show here at Cinema Degneration we are calling "Without Warning." The theme for this show is unlike any other in our lineup. Hosted by Cinema Degeneration CEO Cameron Scott and his co-host, author, voiceover artist, and host of 'The Diabolical Index' Korey Dawson. The theme is simple: Scott calls Dawson out of the blue with no warning as to what the topic of conversation will be...without warning if you will. Scott will continuously test the overall skill and level of pop culture and movie expertise of Mr. Dawson with totally random topics including movies, literature, pop culture, music, art, comics and more. Dawson has absolutely no prior knowledge to these show topics and is going into the discussions totally blind. These shows are a hoot to record, and we hope as much fun for the audience to listen back to. The 5th episode show topic is on "ANIMAL VILLAINS". Essentially you are all in for a deep dive discussion on multitudes of films that were based on some iconic and not-so-iconic Animal Movie Villains. Topics range from Cujo, Grizzly, Man's Best Friend, Alligator, Lucky, Willard, Kingdom of the Spiders, Jaws, Black Sheep, plus many many more. Included in the festivities are various rants and segways into topics such as the Creepshow franchise, Larry Cohen movies and the actor Tom Noonan! Join us!

Sequel Too, Deja Vu - ”Hellraiser Hellworld”

On this show, our specialty is sequels, sequels, and more sequels.  From the good ones, to the bad ones, to the really ugly ones, we'll be covering them all!  We've got homicidal maniacs that won't stay in the grave, sci-fi epics whose stories cannot be told in a single tale, and much much more.  For our 24th episode, we are taking on one of many sequels to the Hellraiser franchise with "HELLRAISER HELLWORLD" from 2005.  The sequel stars Lance Henriksen, Henry Cavill, Khary Payton, and Doug Bradley in his last performance as  Pinhead. In this chapter of the shenanigans of Clive Barker's Cenobites, we're entering the world of MMORPG games, obsessive fathers, and a group of friends trying to get to the bottom of their friends suiced. In other words, this has little if anything to do with the actual Hellraiser mythos.  Included in the proceedings are brief rants on many subjects including but notlimited to Stephen King's The Dark Tower, The Propecy Series, the Children of the Corn franchise, Superman and much more. Take Out Edition - ”Lady Terminator”

We bring you the 12th episode of our specialty show "Take Out Edition" where we will explore the realms of foreign cinema.  Our hosts will take you along their travels all over the globe while diving into some of the most lucid storytelling, savage cannibals, vengeful spirits, sadistic killers, and post-apocalyptic zombie-plagued landscapes. Join us as we dissect the classics that prove sometimes fear comes with subtitles.  Our hosts, Cameron Scott and filmmaker/musician Thomas Berdinski (Giant Rubber Monster Movie), take you on a Indonesian voyage on this episode with the 1989 science fiction/mystical/action fest extravaganza "LADY TERMINATOR" from director H. Hjut Djalil and starring Barbara Anne Constable. This absolutely crazy and bonkers Terminator ripoff is the tale of what happens when the spirit of an ancient evil sea queen enters the body of an innocent student who then goes on a killing spree. The film borrows heavily from the Terminator, Predator, Conan the Barbarian and about every other Arnold Schwarzenegger movie made up until '89!  Cinema Degeneration welcomes you to enjoy some Take Out while we explore the misadventures of Tania and her possession by the South Sea Queen!

Howling At The Full Moon - ”Eliminators”

On our show, "Howling At The Full Moon", we're heading back to the Empire Pictures days with our 30th episode and deep diving into the fantasy sci-fi action effort with 1986's "ELIMINATORS". Directed by Peter Manoogian and starring the incomparable Andew Prine and Denise Crosby, Parick Reynolds, Pete Schrum, Roy Dotrice and more!  This movie is late era Empire fare that tells the story of a cyborg that rebels against it's creator and forms a team with a ragtag crew consisting of a smuggler, a robot, a ninja and a scientist. Together they form The Eliminators.  This crazy movie has it all! Discussion by our regular hosts Cameron Scott and Full Moon enthusiast Dustin Hubbard as they take a deep dive into a dissection of this wild ride that has androids, action, neanderthal cannibals, kung fu, time travel, and MORE!

Grindhouse Pizzeria - ”Dirty Mary Crazy Larry”

On Episode 24 of our show "Grindhouse Pizzeria" which is dedicated to all things encompassing various Grindhouse, Drive-In, and Exploitation genres; we will be reviewing and dissecting one of the all time classic drive-in fare with "DIRTY MARY CRAZY LARRY" FROM 1974. Directed by John Hough (The Legend Of Hell House) and starring Peter Fonda as Larry, Susan George as Mary, and including Adam Roarke, Vic Morrow with special appearance by Roddy McDowall. It is the story of a couple of down and out racers that have taken to pulling off what they think is the perfect heist, but what they don't count on is a tag along named Mary and a hellbent police Captain who will stop at nothing to catch them. This film is known for some of the most impressive stunts and high octane action car chases done long before the days of CGI.  Our discussion is headed off by our regular hosts Tom Komisar and Cameron Scott! Brilliantly Insane - ”8mm”

We here at Cinema Degeneration are thrilled to be bringing you a show that we call 'Brilliantly Insane'. A show that will be dedicated to the career and films of Nicolas Cage. One of the greatest living actors and eccentric individuals, his career has spanned 40 years and over 100 films credits and counting. We'll be covering a different movie or two from his expansive filmography in every episode. For Episode #3 we're talking about the dark subject offering from 1999 "8MM" directed by Joel Schumacher and which costars James Gandolfini, Peter Stormare, Joaquin Phoenix, Catherine Keener and Norman Reedus.  It's a dark and haunting tale of a private investigator on a quest to find out whether or not a snuff film is real and punish those responsible for it.  Join hosts Korey Dawson and Cameron Scott from the show 'Without Warning' as they talk shop about one of their favorite iconic actors and one of his most memorable films, and go off on a few rants about things such as Long John Silvers, Stephen Baldwin, the portrayal of the devil in cinema, and even Brainscan???
