Brilliantly Insane - ”Bringing Out The Dead”

We here at Cinema Degeneration are thrilled to be bringing you a show that we have had long in development. Welcome to the long gestating second episode of 'Brilliantly Insane'. A show that will be dedicated to the career and films of Nicolas Cage. One of the greatest living actors and eccentric individuals, his career has spanned 40 years and over 100 films credits and counting. We'll be covering a different movie or two from his expansive filmography in every episode. For Episode #2 we're talking about the bleak offering from 1999 "BRINGING OUT THE DEAD" directed by Martin Scorsese and which costars John Goodman, Tom Sizemore, Cliff Curtis, Patricia Arquette, and Ving Rhames.  It's a dark and haunting tale of an ambulance paramedic trying to cling to his waning sanity over the course of three long nights.  Join hosts and filmmakers Daniel Goad and Cameron Scott as they talk shop about one of their favorite iconic actors and one of his most memorable films.

On our show, "Howling At The Full Moon", we're heading down to the beach with our 27th episode and diving into interspaced travel and hijinks from 1993 with "BEACH BABES FROM BEYOND". Directed by David DeCoteau and featuring a slew of celebrity cameos including Jackie Stallone, Don Swayze, Joey Travolta, Linnea Quigley, Burt Ward, and Joe Estevez. This movie follows the exploits of three intergalactic space babes that crash land on Earth that will do anything to get off this planet. Sequel Too, Deja Vu - ”A Nightmare On Elm Street (2010)”

On this show, our specialty is sequels, sequels, and more sequels.  From the good ones, to the bad ones, to the really ugly ones, we'll be covering them all!  We've got homicidal maniacs that won't stay in the grave, sci-fi epics whose stories cannot be told in a single tale, and much much more.  For our 20th episode, we are tackling our first ever remake and the truly divisive flick from 2010 with "A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET".  Directed by Samuel Bayer and starring Roony Mara and Jackie Earle Haley. This reboot/remake of the popular 80's franchise burner Freddy Krueger is sort of a mess when it comes to total coherency and execuation and...well, most things. However, our hosts Cameron Scott and  Eric Phillips try to make sense of it all for their discussion on this muddled but interesting attempt at reinventing a horror franchise.

This Is Your Brain On Film - ”Session 9”

We know it has been a while but we have gotten so many requests for another adventure, so we're releasing the 5th episode of our show "This Is Your Brain On Film", where we turn our attention to the films that warp your minds and melt your faces! This trip around the corners of your mind we are reviewing the 2001 psychological thriller "SESSION 9". Directed by Brad Anderson, Session 9 explores what happens when a cleaning crew in an abandoned mental facility come head to head with a horrorific past.  Join hosts Cameron Scott and Daniel Goad in a discussion and dissection of the film.  Remember folks - don't try this at home.

Grindhouse Pizzeria - ”The Toolbox Murders (1978)”

On Episode 21 of our show "Grindhouse Pizzeria" which is dedicated to all things encompassing various Grindhouse, Drive-In, and Exploitation genres, we will be reviewing and dissecting one of the titans of early slashers with "THE TOOLBOX MURDERS" from 1978. Directed by Dennis Donnelly (who was primarily a TV director for the majority of his career).  This gritty horror film stars the always intense Cameron Mitchell in a story about a ski mask wearing serial killer who uses the various contents of a toolbox to carve up his victims. This film is intense, dirty, gritty, and nasty...just the way we like them. Our discussion is headed off by our regular hosts Tom Komisar and Cameron Scott! Without Warning - ”Vampires”

Welcome to an altogether new show here at Cinema Degneration we are calling "Without Warning." The theme for this show is unlike any other in our lineup. Hosted by Cinema Degeneration CEO Cameron Scott and his co-host, author, voiceover artist, and host of 'The Diabolical Index' Korey Dawson. The theme is simple: Scott calls Dawson out of the blue with no warning as to what the topic of conversation will be...without warning if you will. Scott will continuously test the overall skill and level of pop culture and movie expertise of Mr. Dawson with totally random topics including movies, literature, pop culture, music, art, comics and more. Dawson has absolutely no prior knowledge to these show topics and is going into the discussions totally blind. These shows are a hoot to record, and we hope as much fun for the audience to listen back to. The 3rd episode show topic is on "VAMPIRES". Essentially you are all in for a deep dive discussion on multitudes of films that were based on some legendary and even some lesser known bloodsuckers in film. Topics range from Near Dark, Subspecies, Lost Boys, The Kindred TV series, Blood & Donuts, Fright Night, The Addiction, and of course the various famous faces of Dracula, and many many more. It's a trip through the dark ages of these eternal creatures and the films that made them famous! Join us!

Howling At The Full Moon - ”Trancers 2”

On our show, "Howling At The Full Moon", we're heading bsck 'down the line' with our 26th episode and diving further into one of the biggest franchises from the early Full Moon library with the 1991 sci-fi classic "TRANCERS 2". Directed by Charles Band himself and featuring most of the old gang including Tim Thomerson as Jack Deth, Helen Hunt, Biff Manard, Art LaFleur, Telma Hopkins, and new to the series but veterans all the same with Megan Ward, Jeffrey Combs, Richard Lynch, Barbara Crampton and Sonny Carl Davis. Take Out Edition - ”The Humanoid”

We bring you the 9th episode of our specialty show "Take Out Edition" where we will explore the realms of foreign cinema.  Our hosts will take you along their travels all over the globe while diving into some of the most lucid storytelling, savage cannibals, vengeful spirits, sadistic killers, and post-apocalyptic zombie-plagued landscapes. Join us as we dissect the classics that prove sometimes fear comes with subtitles.

Our hosts, Cameron Scott (Post Mortem America 2021) and filmmaker/musician Thomas Berdinski (The Italian Zombie Movie 1 & 2), take you on an Italian journey with the 1979 science fiction extravaganza "THE HUMANOID" from genre veterans Aldo Lado and Enzo G. Castellari. This is the ultimate experience in Star Wars clones done right. It's filled with action, cracy characters, wild effects and unbelievable wardrobe, and stars Richard Kiel as Golob 'The Humanoid'. Cinema Degeneration welcomes you to enjoy some Take Out while we explore the misadventures of Golob and his sidekick Kip the RobotDog as they bond with telekinetic kids, have interspace laser battles, and fight with evil overlords!

On this show, our specialty is sequels, sequels, and more sequels.  From the good ones, to the bad ones, to the really ugly ones, we'll be covering them all!  We've got homicidal maniacs that won't stay in the grave, sci-fi epics whose stories cannot be told in a single tale, and much much more.  For our 19th episode, we are tackling our first 4th chapter in a franchise with the science fiction action flick from 1997 with "ALIEN RESURRECTION".  Directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and starring a cavalcade of genre veterans including Sigourney Weaver returning as Ellen Ripley and Brad Douriff, Ron Perlman, Michael Wincott and Winona Ryder. The continuing adventures of Ripley versus Xenomorphs, the Company, space pirates and Alien Queens is sort of a mess when it comes to total coherency but a lot of fun at the same time.  Join our hosts Cameron Scott and returning guest co-host and filmmaker Tony Walters (RAD Entertainment) for their discussion on this muddled but interesting science fiction/body horror/action adventure yarn.

Grindhouse Pizzeria - ”The Devil’s Nightmare”

On Episode 20 of our show "Grindhouse Pizzeria" which is dedicated to all things encompassing various Grindhouse, Drive-In, and Exploitation genres, we will be reviewing and dissecting the often overlooked Gothic horror "THE DEVIL'S NIGHTMARE" from 1971. The only feature film directed by Jean Brismée and starring Erika Blanc. This atmospheric horror film is about evil in one of its many forms, this time a succubus working with the devil to make a bus load of 7 sinners pay for their transgressions. Complete with an ending that you will not see coming, this one has to be seen to be believed. Our discussion is headed off by our regular hosts Tom Komisar and Cameron Scott!
